Gilead maintains a Food Pantry for those in our community in need, serving Carmel and Kent, New York. We accept referrals from the Departments of Social Services, Putnam Community Action Program, other churches & social service agencies, and walk-ins.

Jesus said, “Let one with two coats share with the one who has none.  Let those who have food do the same.” Luke 3:11

If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the poverties of those in need, then your light shall rise in the darkness and your shadows will be as the noonday.  Isaiah 58:10

The Food Pantry is open every Friday morning 10:00 am – 12 Noon.  Patrons may come every two weeks.

The Food Pantry could especially use donations of beans, pasta, pasta sauce, soup, coffee, tea, toilet paper, paper towels, soap (both bath and dish), diapers for children and adults, baby wipes, feminine hygiene products, and pet food. Non-perishables can be left in the plastic bin outside the glass doors at any time. Thank you!
